Get the answer out of the ERP without retyping it.

SQL Server queries and reports, Python jobs that move data between systems on a schedule, and ERP problems diagnosed by someone who also knows what the numbers mean on the floor.

Sound familiar?

  • A report that costs someone half a day in a spreadsheet every week.
  • Two systems that disagree, and nobody knows which is right.
  • An ERP that slows down or locks up, with no clear cause.
  • The same data keyed in twice.
02 //

What you get

  • Queries, views and reports that answer the question you actually asked.
  • Scheduled Python jobs that sync systems, with logging so you can see what ran.
  • Locking, blocking and performance problems traced to a cause.
  • Notes written so the next person can maintain it.

How it works

  1. 01

    Name the question

The report you wish you had, or the two systems that will not agree.

  2. 02

    Look at the data

Read-only access where possible. You get a scope and a fixed price or an estimate.

  3. 03

    The work

Built and tested on your servers, usually remotely.

  4. 04

    Handover

You get the files and the notes. Programs, posts, queries, scripts and documents are yours to keep and maintain.

One Report, Done Right

Pick the report that costs the most time. I build it properly, on a fixed scope, so you can judge the work before committing to more.

Automation

Two ERP systems kept in step by scheduled Python

Items, orders, BOMs, routings, shipments, invoices, lots and serial numbers move between the two systems on a schedule, with nobody retyping them.

SQL Server

ERP lock-ups traced to the query behind them

When the production database blocks, I use Extended Events to find which query is holding the lock and why, then fix the query or the report that caused it.

When I am not the right fit

  • You need a team to implement or migrate a whole ERP.
  • You want a software product built. I solve the data problem in front of you.

Questions

Which ERP systems?
Infor Visual is the one I know best, since 2008. The SQL Server and Python work carries over to other systems; ask about yours.
How is our data handled?
The work is done on your servers with your credentials, read-only wherever that is enough. Nothing is copied off site without your say-so.
Is this remote work?
Almost always.
